THANK YOU FRIENDS OF BURKINA FASO!!!!!!

In the last 9 hours of the Give More, Get More challenge, you pulled out all stops!  We raised approximately $4000 (in straight donations alone) from about 125 donations in that short time frame, surpassed the $7500 benchmark so that the last $2700 or so that we raised was matched at 50%.  We ended up not with the $10,000 we had hoped for but $17,209--because we also received a bonus of $3000 for having the 2nd highest number of unique donors in this competition.

See the final numbers and rankings on the leaderboard--you should be awfully proud!!!!  You all continue to amaze us with your positive and generous "competitive spirit."

Thank you, and thanks to your friends and family for giving more at this time of year and particularly, during this time of economic uncertainty.  You have made a difference in the lives of many young girls.  Right now, we can only count their successes in their school performance but who knows, these girls may go many places in Burkina and the world that they haven't even imagined yet.  And they have all of you to thank for being a part of their future success stories!

  • Maintains a network of returned Peace Corps Volunteers (RPCVs) and friends of Burkina Faso;
  • Provides funding and assistance to support projects in Burkina Faso;
  • Improves social interaction, communication and information exchange; and
  • Educates others about the country and culture of Burkina Faso.
