Yako

Yako. The Yako celebration starts early. Got to yako early evening on the 19th. Pcv Evan welcomed us at his house and we were joined by pcv's Chris and Nick for dinner at the Yako Jardin du Maire restaurant. Learned a lot about their good work in health, computer technology training and girl's education promotion. There was nothing lacking in either their passion, toughness or determination to bring meaningful changes in these areas.
We visited one of the schools where Evan works to advance girl's education called L'Ecole de Seguinvousse. He gets there by 7:30. a.m. and meets with mothers pta to do soap project to make liquid soap. They used their first revenue for the repair of the lunch kitchen for the students.
Les Ailes de Refuge. Evan also took us to visit this local orphanage of about 40 children that is run by an international group of volunteers.
