The Lambs Support Girls’ Education Project was developed by Association NEEED (Nimbus, Enfance, Environnement, Education et Developpement), a non-profit non-governmental organization formed and run by Burkinabé. FBF’s financial support of this project has enabled 300 young village girls in northern Burkina Faso to enter public primary school each year for the past six years, thanks to contributions from our membership and donations to the Lambs Support Girls’ Education Project through our web partner, GlobalGiving. We have supported 2,700 girls over the past 12 years. Once these girls are enrolled in primary school, their lambs will support them for 13 years from primary through secondary school. An impressive 89% of girls supported by the project passed national exams last year, enabling them to go on to middle school.
