Beginning in 2012, in partnership with the Milton & Beatrice Wind Foundation and the Federation of American Women’s Clubs Overseas (FAWCO), FBF began supporting scholarships for post secondary education for girls in the northern region of Burkina Faso. In collaboration with our partners, we supported 13 scholarships the first year and 7 this year. We offer scholarships in primary teacher training (approximately $1600), 2-year nursing & auxiliary midwife training (approximately $2300), state nursing and midwifery training (approximately $3500) and university education (approximately $9400). Actual costs in US dollars are dependent upon exchange rates.
